Our Heritage
From a small repair shop founded in 1957 to the most trusted luxury restoration studio in Los Angeles — three generations of passion, skill, and an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.
“Every pair of shoes has a story. Our job is to make sure that story never ends.”
It began with Eletea Shoe Remodeling on Vermont Avenue — a shop that worked exclusively for major shoe and department stores. Arturo and Calliopi built it from nothing, fueled by a belief that fine craftsmanship was worth preserving.
In 1988, they made their boldest move: selling Eletea and investing everything into a Los Angeles location. Arturo’s Shoe Fixx was born — and with it, a reputation that would become one of the most trusted in the luxury world.
Today, grandson Ari leads the shop, continuing Arturo’s tradition of treating every piece — whether a $40 boot or a $4,000 Louboutin — with the same meticulous care.
Arturo Azinian founds his first shop on Vermont Ave, working exclusively with major shoe and department stores across Los Angeles.
Arturo and Calliopi sell Eletea and open in Los Angeles — their defining move, planting roots in the heart of LA’s luxury corridor.
Boutiques like Gucci, Celine, and Valentino begin quietly recommending Arturo’s to their clients. The shop becomes an open secret among LA’s fashion insiders.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle platform Goop features Arturo’s, introducing the shop to a national audience of luxury consumers.
Grandson Ari now leads the shop, continuing Arturo’s tradition of treating every piece with the same meticulous care his grandfather instilled.
We take time to understand what each customer wants. Every repair is a conversation, not a transaction.
We only use premium materials and traditional techniques. If it can’t be done right, we’ll tell you honestly.
Restoration is inherently sustainable. Extending a shoe’s life keeps it out of landfill and honors the craft behind it.
Customers hand us $2,000 shoes. That responsibility isn’t taken lightly — it has been earned over 67 years.
