Luxury Leather Care

Leather Repair &
Restoration in Los Angeles

Good leather can last for decades if it's looked after. A favorite jacket with a torn seam, a belt that has faded at the edges, or a wallet that's lost its color is usually worth saving. Our family has been fixing leather since 1957, and since 1988 we've done that work at our Los Angeles workshop on Beverly Blvd.

What We Restore

Leather Items We Repair

Shoes and handbags are our core work, and we use the same skills on other leather pieces:

  • Leather jackets and coats: seam re-stitching and small tear repair. Other jacket work is quoted after we see the piece.
  • Belts: edge refinishing, new holes and strap shortening.
  • Wallets, card cases and small leather goods: re-stitching, edge repair and color touch-ups.

If your item isn't on the list, send us a photo. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help.

01
Recoloring & Dyeing

Sun, wear and friction fade leather unevenly. We match the dye to the original shade, or to a new color if you want a change, so scuffs, faded panels and worn edges blend back in. Color matching is done by hand, item by item. Recoloring is priced after we see the item.

02
Cleaning & Conditioning

Dry leather cracks, and dirty leather wears out faster. We clean each piece with products suited to its leather type, whether that's smooth calfskin, lambskin, suede or nubuck. Then we condition it to bring back softness and help it resist future damage. Cleaning starts at $35. That's a starting price, adjusted once we see the item.

03
Stitching & Structural Repair

Seams loosen, and stitch lines wear through at stress points. We re-stitch to match the original thread and stitch spacing as closely as we can, and we reinforce areas that keep failing. For larger tears we'll explain the options before we start, including what the repair will look like once it's done.
